Ocean City Surf Anglers

A few fishing friends thought it would be a great idea to start a fishing club.  The intent of this Club was to keep the members feeling like family.  One of the founding members, Paul Bodolus, inisted that this idea of a family atmosphere and good friends was kept throughout his tenure.  The idea was to fish and be able to raise money to help support the local community and charities.  When the fishing tournament first began, it was a Sunfest event with the organizers of Sunfest sponsoring the event.  Finally the Sunfest organizers turned the tournament over to the Ocean City Surf Anglers to administer for them.  In 1980 the tournament was completely handed  over to the Surf Anglers and then renamed the Mid-Atlantic Surf Fishing Tournament.  This tournament is our only fund raising event which funds the Henrietta Bodolus Scholarship Fund and various local charities.
